Vipassana – The technique of Gautama Buddha

Vipassana is the technique of Gautama Buddha . The path of Buddha is considered as Golden Mean because he teaches that there in no need to go to any extreme – neither in indulgence nor in abstinence. His path is a Golden path, which does not demand affiliation to any idea, belief or dogma. Even after the lapse of more than 2500 years since he walked on this earth, there is no decline in his teaching or in the relevance of his miraculous and amazingly simple meditation technique ‘Vipassana’. In fact this meditation technique is often considered as the technique of the future because of its extremely simple yet very powerful method. For the busy and extremely complicated life of 21st century, Vipassana is the kind of friendly meditation which can be done by anybody, anywhere and at any time.

What and why of Vipassana

Vipassana means ‘to come and see‘. To be more preciseto come inward and see. It is the way of the Buddha. He do not give sermons on reality. He only says ‘ “come and see . Just come inward and see for yourself the reality.

In a single sentence :What is Vipassana ?

Vipassana is :

“To watch your breath with awareness. “

That’s all ! It is just simple . To be watchful of your breath as it comes and go. It is Vipassana. The easiest meditation technique of all time.

Breathing is the most of importantant life process of our body. Nobody can exist without breath even for a single moment. In fact breathing is so important that nature has made it automatic in all living being. Nobody has to remember to breath. Just like internal vital process of our body like pumping of heart, circulation of blood, digestion of food etc, the breathing also happens on its own. Numerous meditation techniques are centered around breath. Almost all spiritual schools has developed a majority of their meditation techniques around breath. The reason for such infatuation with breathing is that it (breathing) is not merely a process of inhaling oxygen and exhaling Carbon Dioxide. Breathing, in reality, is a bridge between our body and our self.

From the moment we come into this world – till the moment we die, we continue taking breath. Breathing is a link between our soul and our body. So when one meditates on breathing, invariably, he gets connected with his self. As already described in

What is meditation‘ (that all meditation techniques are the methods through which our true self is revealed to us), when you mediate in Vipassana , you will realize your real identity – Self.

In Vipassana you have to be just aware of your breath. A simple rule is that no matter what you do, no matter in whichever action you indulged in – just be aware of your breathing process. Be watchful of breath as it comes inside your body and goes outside. Don’t try to control your breath. Vipassana is not ‘Pranayama ( the yogic exercise in which one control various movements of breath)
. If your breath is deep let it be, if it is shallow let it be. Just let your breathing in its natural rhythm.

Understand this by this analogy: Just imagine that a river is flowing. Now the flow of the river may be fast or slow. What you have to do is to sit on its bank Just watch the river as it flows. Don’t try to create ripples in it. Don’t do anything that affects its flow. Just be a watcher. This river is your breath. The breathing process is going on. Just be a watcher of this process. Slowly slowly as you watch your breathing, your mind will start calming own. You will see that all thoughts are disappearing on their own. Eventually as you keep practicing, such moment will start coming when you see that everything has come to a standstill. There will be no thoughts, there will be no emotions. However, there will be full awareness. The state of choiceless awareness. In this state you will know the real you.

Some important things about Vipassana:

(1) Though this extremely easy meditation can be done anytime, anywhere, initially it is strongly advised that you allocate some fixed time for it on daily basis. Choose a separate room and sit in a comfortable position. Them meditate by watching your breathing.

(2) The real success will come when you can be aware of your breath while doing all kind of daily activities like reading, playing, driving, swimming, or doing any domestic task. However this stage will come after a regular practice for a considerable amount of time. At that point there will be two aspects of your existence – doing and being. You will be doing everything, fully involved in your tasks, yet inside there will be a center of awareness in you undisturbed by outer circumstances. That will be the true state of a meditator – the one who will be creative outside and meditative inside.

Here is a basic instruction of Vipassana meditation taken from a talk by Thanissaro Bhikkhu. I hope this instruction will help you greatly in learning this meditation.

We went up to the top of the highest hill and stopped Still

It was just so beautiful
It was just so beautiful
It was just so beautiful
This is where the shadows come to play twixt the day
And night
Dancing and skipping
Along a chink of light

Somewhere in between
The waxing and the waning wave
Somewhere in between
What the song and silence say
Somewhere in between
The ticking and the tocking clock
Somewhere in a dream between
Sleep and waking up
Somewhere in between
Breathing out and breathing in
Like twilight is neither night nor morning

Not one of us would dare to break
The silence
Oh how we have longed
For something that would
Make us feel so…

Somewhere in between
The waxing and the waning wave
Somewhere in between
The night and the daylight
Somewhere in between
The ticking and the tocking clock
Somewhere in between
What the song and the silence say

Somewhere in between
Breathing out and breathing in

The chorus:
Goodnight sun
Goodnight sun

The sun:
Goodnight mum

Three months of intense training in a form of meditation known as “insight” (Vipassana) in Sanskrit can sharpen a person’s brain enough to help them notice details they might otherwise miss. How Children Learn Vipassana

These new findings add to a growing body of research showing that millennia-old mental disciplines can help control and improve the mind, possibly to help treat conditions such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

“Certain mental characteristics that were previously regarded as relatively fixed can actually be changed by mental training,” University of Wisconsin neuroscientist Richard Davidson said. “People know physical exercise can improve the body, but our research and that of others holds out the prospects that mental exercise can improve minds.”

Paying attention to facts requires time and effort, and since everyone only has a limited amount of brainpower to go around, details can get overlooked. For instance, when two pictures are flashed on a video screen a half-second apart, people often miss the second image.

“Your attention gets stuck on the first target, then you miss the second one,” Davidson said. This is called “attentional blink,” an effect akin to how you might overlook something when you blink your eyes.

Still, the fact that people can occasionally catch the second picture suggests it’s possible to sharpen one’s attention with training, which is just what the new meditation study found.

Brain plasticity

“Meditation is a family of methods designed to facilitate regulation of emotion and attention,” said Davidson, who headed up the study.

In recent years, scientists have found meditation affects brain functions. For instance, research into Tibetan monks trained in focusing their attention on a single object or thought revealed they could concentrate on one image significantly longer than normal when shown two different images at each eye. Another study of people who on average meditated 40 minutes daily found that areas of their brains linked with attention and sensory processing became thicker.

“One of the fundamental mysteries that is now becoming better understood as we go along but which is still a breakthrough area of research is neuroplasticity, the idea that we can literally change our brains through mental training,” Davidson told LiveScience. “Certain kinds of mental characteristics such as attention or certain emotions such as happiness can best be regarded as skills that can be trained.”

When Davidson first met His Holiness the Dalai Lama nearly a decade ago, the exiled leader of Tibet encouraged Davidson to conduct scientific research into meditation, “and I recognized it was a very appropriate time to begin such research, because the methods we have available now to study the brain have improved dramatically and the scientific community is significantly more receptive to such ideas.”

Ten to 12 hours daily

Davidson and his colleagues investigated the impacts of Vipassana, a roughly 2,500-year-old discipline that is the oldest form of Buddhist meditation and focuses on reducing mental distraction and improving sensory awareness. Davidson has practiced Vipassana and other forms of Buddhist meditation for more than 30 years.

“This is not the only form of meditation we’re interested in, but it is a widely practiced form of instruction that can easily be replicated elsewhere in the country,” Davidson said.

The researchers investigated 17 volunteers before and after they completed three months of rigorous training in Vipassana. T hey meditated for 10 to 12 hours a day. The researchers also studied 23 novices who received a one-hour meditation class and then meditated for 20 minutes daily for a week.

The scientists asked
volunteers to look for numbers flashed on a video screen amongst a series of distracting letters. Their brain activity was monitored using electrodes placed on their scalps.

Davidson and his colleagues found the brains of volunteers who received the intense mental training apparently needed less time to spot details than before. The training also improved their ability to detect the second number within the half-second attentional blink time window. In comparison, the novices did not appear to experience such improvements to a significant degree, findings detailed online May 8 in the journal PLoS Biology.

ADHD treatment potential

“This attentional blink finding shows a little wedge of what might be a much larger dimension of experience that could be opened up by meditation techniques,” said neuroscientist Clifford Saron at the University of California-Davis Center for Mind and Brain. “You can imagine that life is a series of attentional blinks, and we might be missing an awful lot of what’s going on.”

Applications of this work include treatment of attention-related conditions, Davidson explained.

“There is an absolute explosion of prescriptions for kids who are diagnosed with ADHD. I’m not against the judicious use of medication, but there probably is vast over-prescription for this disorder, and strategies like meditation could be an acceptable complement or substitute for medication for certain kids,” Davidson said. “There still needs to be rigorous research to establish that, but our work is provocative enough to warrant more systematic follow-up.”

In the next five years, Davidson expects a dramatically increased level of research into meditation “because it is beginning to be recognized as something that takes advantage of the plasticity of the brain, has relatively few if any side-effects and has potentially very beneficial effects, the impact of which can be documented using the most rigorous scientific methods.”

Other avenues of research Davidson and his colleagues are currently pursuing include the impacts of meditation on pain, inflammation regulation, and emotions and the brain circuits that handle feelings.

Holographic Awareness-The Whole in every part

this article is from:http://www.soulconnection.net/holographic_awareness.html

Can you “see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour?” (William Blake). I say that you can and you are, but most people do not recognize that they are constantly touching the infinite, nor do they appreciate the expansive, all-encompassing nature of their normal, every-day, here-and-now awareness.

The “Whole in every part” is a principle known by poets, mystics, great thinkers, children and ordinary people like you and I, since the beginning of time. It was intelligently presented to the scientific community of the Western world during the second half of the last century by physicist David Bohm, an associate of Albert Einstein and neurophysiologist Karl Pribram.

From Bohm’s perspective, the universe is recognized to be holistically interconnected through resonance occurring within the underlying Unified Field that connects all matter, energy and information in the cosmos. In fact, Bohm and many scientists, mystics and again: regular people like you and I, believe that despite its apparent solidity the universe is a gigantic splendidly detailed, multi-dimensional, super-hologram. I personally believe that the human brain is an organ to process, reflect and translate the holographic universe. An individual’s brain is like a portal that is connected to the super-hologram of the Grand Universe.

Individuated expressions are a reflection of the Whole

Experientially, you can engage with anything in your awareness, and what may seem like a separate part is actually a whole universe inside a universe … connected to a holographic ecosystem that is interwoven into the Grand Universe.

For instance, if you recall your same favorite place that we used in the previous essay (Part 1), you can use your attention to bore deeper and deeper into the details of the place … it’s history, environment, composition, climate, visitors, position on the planet and how it changes over time. Your favorite place — in the 3D physical world and also the version that you engage with inside yourself — is not solid or flat … but is multi-layered, atmospheric, energetic, and has infinite depth. It can be useful to identify, explore and discuss a layer or a part, but in reality it is not a separate, isolated thing. The way it really exists is as an orchestrated system that is woven into its immediate surroundings and is connected through the quantum field to a vast ocean of forces, beings and possibilities. Your favorite place, as grand, humble or unique as it may be, is truly an expression of the Whole cosmos and is intimately connected to It.

Another example: take a single grain of sand and enlarge it to the size of the earth. From this perspective, you now see that the billions of atoms composing it are atmospheres the size of basketballs. You may dive into a single atom and explore the forces in its depths, or you may focus your attention on fields of atoms and learn of their interconnected relationships. All this is permissible because of the holographic nature of the universe, and the infinite depth that is everywhere. Each seemingly separate part is not an island unto itself, but is an individuated reflection of the Whole Universe and is intimately woven into the fabric of It.

Even with a 3-dimensional hologram made with lasers … if you cut it into a hundred parts … one may think that each part will show a separate area of the image, but that’s not the case. With holograms, each of the smaller parts still contain a reflection of the complete, whole, 3-dimensional image.

The “whole in every part” nature of holograms provides us with a compelling way to understand ourselves as we are the offspring of a grand, spectacular, universe. As reflections of it we are grand, spectacular … and holographic as well.

In summary

A hologram is made of light, space and depth. It may seem to magically appear and also disappear in the twinkle of an eye, according to your angle of vision. A hologram can be viewed and experienced from an infinite number of points of view. It can be broken into a thousand pieces and when each piece is illuminated it will faithfully project the entire unbroken hologram. Hence, each seemingly separate part contains the complete, fully-assembled, unified Whole.

When you look at holographic material inside yourself, we now have the essential understanding that it is a vibrant part of the Grand Universe. It is intimately connected to you, the rest of the inner landscape and also the external world. It is connected to others, nature, evolution, and to both real and imagined realms of life. The holograms inside yourself are constantly morphing and adapting to you, the observer, as the holographic material is alive and responsive as it reflects the thoughts, feelings, dreams and inspirations that you are tuned into. Finally, the inner holographic material that you engage with repeatedly is customizing your immediate personal reality and also setting-up the unfolding of future realities for you to experience”.

Insight meditation -Vipassana

By Dr. Tan Kheng Khoo

Vipassana meditation is a scientific “art of living” a happy, peaceful life. It is an observation of the self, within the self, by the self, a process aimed at total purification of the mind with a resultant state of happiness.

Insight meditation (Vipassana) is the practice of moment-to moment awareness both in formal sitting as well as meditation in action outside of formal sitting. In sitting meditation we start briefly with breathing as a rising and falling process, after which the main subjects to be dealt with will be the mind and the states of mind. The latter include all the emotional feelings and the states of mind that we are experiencing during the sitting meditation. Whilst dealing with these 2 phenomena, we are not allowed any choice in the matter. We just merely watch the thoughts and states of mind as they arise while we sit. There should not be any attempt at modifying or suppressing the thoughts or states. This choiceless awareness is of paramount importance in the practice. The main object of this practice is to see the ceaseless stream of thoughts and the change of moods and emotions as they arise and fall at that moment. There should be no attempt at interrupting or interfering with this continuous flow. We merely watch the process of change and movement. That is to bring to mind the reality of impermanence of any state, which is invariably changing all the time. And therefore if we were to cling on to anything or state hoping that it will remain the same then we suffer. As we continue to practice Vipassana, we will also realize that there is no abiding essence or self in the three bodies: physical, emotional and mental. This is the Anatta doctrine (Selflessness) of Theverada Buddhism. This practice has to continue when we are out of sitting meditation, when we are doing our daily chores. We can meditate in any position and in every state of activity, but now we have to make a choice between the options that are offered us. Otherwise, we get nowhere. We have to choose to achieve our purpose of action. The accent here is again to be completely mindful and aware of every action. And lastly, we have to be aware of the reactions that arise when our 6 senses meet external objects. These latter two practices will be the theme for the next essay.

The Watcher is the True Self

First and foremost, we must separate a watcher in our consciousness to observe what is going on in our mind and body. The mind includes states of minds, emotions, feelings and higher spiritual realms. This watcher starts off as being part of our consciousness, but as we become more and more silent and still, this watcher expands itself to be an omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent but impartial observer. When the practice is intense enough and prolonged enough then we will realize that this watcher is really our True Self. In other words, it is the soul or Atman occupying that great expanse of emptiness. And if we can carry this realization with us wherever we go we are self-realized! This is the goal of every mystic. So in order to achieve this aim we must always remember to separate a watcher. This watcher is merely to watch and observe the train of thoughts and emotional feelings as they arise at that moment and not later or before that moment. Later, when we are not in sitting meditation, it should continue to observe and watch our movements so that finally we can control and master our body and mind. But initially, we merely watch and take no action.

States of Mind, Emotions and Feelings

When these states arise, we must know them as they occur. We must not anticipate them or trace them back to their origin, as suggested by some teachers. We must see them and know them at that time of appearance. Do not modify or suppress them. Merely observe them. Look at them head on without flinching. By just watching them, we are practising separation and trying to realize our true self. Some of the states and emotions may be classified as below:

(a) States of mind as depicted in the encephalogram: Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta Waves. These states have been meticulously described in the article on “Progressive Stages of One-Pointed Concentration Meditation (Samatha)”. We simply recognise which state we are in without doing anything about it.

(b) Emotional States: Notice how calm or tranquil you are at the beginning of meditation. Or are you irritated or agitated? Is there anger or hatred? What about restlessness and worry? Is there joy or happiness? Is there a feeling of gleeful anticipation towards the meditation? What about drowsiness or sleepiness? All these emotions must be meticulously noted without agitation. There should also be no attempt at changing these emotions. You are merely the observer; otherwise you do not know yourself. All these emotional states are not you. They may remain there for sometime as emotional background or they may slowly wane.

(c) Altered States: These are states like altruistic love, compassion, and forgiveness and at peace with the whole world. These states are normally not characteristic of that person. Thus lies the danger. If these states take
over temporarily our normal emotions, and if we were to act contrarily to our normal character, then we would be in deep trouble! For instance, one may suddenly decide to give away all ones assets to charity, and then find that there is no more to feed oneself and family. What a calamity! Other altered states may include visits to the lower and middle astral, and these may frighten the meditator, although these escapades are most rare. The feeling of divine love may be so overwhelming that the meditator becomes extremely grateful to God or Allah or Buddha that he can then take up that particular religion straight away without reservation. These altered states, of course, do not last. And when they wane, one drops back to normality again. This coming home to the normal world is something of a let down and can be very disappointing to say the least.

(d) “Enlightened” State of At-One with the Universe: In this state you feel as if you are everything you see and feel, and everything outside you is part of you. If you were to focus on somebody, that person is you. The trees, birds and animals are all you. Nothing is exempt. However, this state does not last. It may last for hours or days at the most, but it eventually it will disappear.

(e) Psychedelic states as in drug-induced states. There may be multi-coloured, multi-faceted and multi-dimensional states, never experienced before in ones life. You could be floating in this dizzy exotic environment with not a care in the world. You feel that you have reached paradise, and you congratulate yourself for arriving in heaven with no effort. But alas, it is uncontrollable, and finally it ends with a big bang, a let down and a very bad hangover as in a trip with drugs.

(f) Makyo: hallucinations and visions. These visions and hallucinations tend to appear when one is in theta wave. The visions may be figures of Virgin Mary, Buddha, Kwan Yin or Jesus, all of which no living person has ever seen. They are not real. One can eradicate them by simply opening ones eyes or just change the thought. The famous Zen saying: “When you see Buddha, kill him” is absolutely correct. These hallucinatory states may include the meditator flying in the air or diving into solid earth or wheezing to the moon or stars. There may be scenes of olden times or periods, giving a false believe that these are our actual previous lives from our Akashic records. They are not. They are merely hallucinations. Further, one may smell, hear or feel things that are not perceived by others. Lastly, one may experience an NDE (near-death experience) but this is extremely rare.

All the above states and emotional feelings do not come in one continuous period of time. They appear intermittently throughout the session of sitting meditation, or more commonly they do not appear at all. Therefore, throughout the insight meditation we will see and perceive different states as we go deeper and deeper into Vipassana. For instance, we start the meditation feeling angry and irritated, but as the meditation progresses, we become calmer and then end up being tranquil. We know when we are in Alpha or Theta wave. Then after many months of practice, we reached states of divine love, compassion and at peace with the world. As these states turn up we know. Then deeper still, psychedelic states or hallucinations and visions may also appear. Then we merely recognise them as such and then we let them go. Every state, feeling and vision must just be seen and then dropped. There should not be any attempt at holding on to them. They are all transient and impermanent. One may not be able to repeat the same state or vision ever again. One also should not boast about their occurrences. These transitory states of mind are not for real and therefore it is quite useless clinging to these memories. They are like will-o-the- wisp of the air. All these states come without premonition or warning, and they disappear in like fashion. They appear intermittently throughout that process of observing our thoughts. There is no order in their appearances.

The Mind

Assume the same sitting position as in the concentration practice. After going round your body (sensing different parts of the body) as taught in Samatha meditation, you again come to the breath. This time you notice the breathing as an arising and falling phenomenon. Then note the state of the mind. Further, fix your attention at your forehead between the two eyes. This is now your television screen and all the thoughts are now to be placed here. Past, present and future thoughts are to be screened here (Fig.1).

They appear as pictures here, but the mental chatter will occur at the ears. Now again separate a watcher who will observe the pictures and listen to the verbal commentary. One cannot concentrate on 2 things at one time. So you have to decide to pay attention either to the pictures or to the mental chatter. The attention must be total and not half-hearted. If you can look at the one picture in full bloom, it will disappear, and momentarily, there will be no thoughts. Soon another train of thoughts will arrive. This time it is even more powerful and you could be caught in its momentum for a length of time. This chain of associated thoughts will continue until suddenly you come to realize that you are in that chain, and there is again another interval of stillness and silence. These intervals of emptiness are initially not recognized, until many weeks of months of meditation have passed. Then when one is able to slow down the thoughts and reduce their number, then these intervals are even easier to detect. It is during Theta wave that one can more easily catch these periods of silence. If an interval of stillness appears, hold on to it. Dont let it go. Try and lengthened it. Enjoy it. But alas, without experience it will slip away very quickly. Therefore, experience is essential in this practice. You can read as many books as you like; it is of no help whatsoever. It is practical experience that counts. Continuing with this Vipassana practice, there will come a time when you can keep that interval of still and silent emptiness long enough to enjoy the pure awareness. From this expanse of pure awareness, insights will arise. These are from the small little voice arising out of the pure awareness. These insights are appropriate to your level of development, no more, no less. Perhaps after many years of practice and truly letting go, spiritual wisdom may then accrue.

The Objects of Mind

What are the thoughts that arrive at your television screen? Do not bring out subjects for contemplation. Just let the thoughts arise on their own. Inevitably, problems of the present will come about. They may be financial problems or situations of the immediate family. There may be some tension with regards to the office personnel. Relationships with sexual overtones feature quite prominently to certain individuals. Then memories of yesterday, last week or last month will turn up. After some time these memories will change to planning for the future. Whether they are of the past, present or future, these pictures must be seen at the center of the forehead, where the screen is. Later on, when all the problems are seen to, random associative thoughts will begin a chain of their own. These chains may gather such a momentum that one is unaware of them and one is caught in them. Then all of a sudden, one is brought back to the present practice, and then a short interval of stillness is brought to ones consciousness. In th
is stillness one may note ones state of mind: are we calm? Still agitated? Is there rapture? And so on. Some external noise will distract one momentarily. Then the thoughts will start to appear again, after another external noise triggers another memory. The above process will repeat itself again and again, but with diligence and practice the thoughts are seen more clearly and can be held for longer periods of time. With experience and prolonged practice, we can have longer and longer periods of stillness and silence. These intervals of no thoughts may be extended to a definite and perceptible length of time. This state of pure awareness is most exhilarating: it is unadulterated bliss! So the discipline here is to repeatedly go into this state of pure awareness which should be extended as long as possible. It is during this still and silent emptiness that insights will appear. What are the insights? It all depends on ones spiritual development. If one is still worldly and materialistic, then the insights will be of that nature. If one has let go a fair bit then they will be of a higher plane. Sometimes precognition or clairvoyance or telepathy may turn up, but this is not a constant feature. They are more like fluke occurrences. The latter may be transmitted as voices or just plain knowing. These psi phenomena are not repeatable.

At the end of the day it is the character transformation that counts. Love, compassion and equanimity should replace our negativities like craving, anger, selfishness, pride and ignorance.

The Three Hearts

Firstly, there is the physical heart, which is just to the left of the sternum. Secondly, there is the emotional heart, which is just below the bottom of the sternum. Whenever one gets a shock or news of disaster it catches one at the hollow pit of the stomach, our second heart. Thirdly, there is this Divine heart. It is also called the soul or Atman. According to Ramana Maharshi, it is the size of the last phalange of the thumb and is situated just to the right of the bottom of the sternum. Now following from the above Vipassana meditation, when we have arrived at S.E.S. (Stillness, Emptiness, and Silence) for quite a long time, we can bring down our attention down to where the seat of the soul is: just to the right of the bottom of the sternum. And stay there as long as we can. This will reinforce our love and compassion for the service of mankind.

The Levels of Consciousness

In insight meditation, the watcher merely observes the thoughts and pictures arising in the superficial consciousness. Then with prolonged practice, the still and silent emptiness is achieved. With further practice, memories of the subconscious may surface (Fig. 2).

The subconscious is defined in this paper as past events in this present life. Many levels of the subconscious may now occasionally erupt triggering the memory bank. The surfacing of any memory is on the need to know basis and not on I want to know basis. These memories are there to unravel the knots in our psyche at that moment. Then as we continue to let go more and more and if our practice is on the right track, then we could be extremely privileged to peep into few of our Akashic Records. The trouble here is that we cannot be certain that it is truly the Akashic and not merely our hallucination. The Akashic is in the realms of the Collective Unconsciousness (of Jung). Of course, in this realm innumerable lifetimes may surface, and therefore many karmic causes may be elicited to explain the difficulties we are in at the present. Delving into past lifetimes in the Collective Unconsciousness may engross us for long periods of time, but at the end we have to let go even of this feat. It is said that Gautama Buddha was able to see every lifetime since his first human incarnation.

Finally, we have to drop down even further to the Universal Consciousness that means into the realm of the Godhead. This supreme feat has only been achieved by a few prophets in the past while they are alive, and Buddha was one of them. It is in this rarefied realm that we realize that every consciousness (vegetation, animal, mineral and human) is interconnected. Nothing is outside this supreme Godhead. It is one without a second. This is the non-dualistic realm of the Unborn, Uncreated and Uncompounded. This is the state of Nirvana!

The Dark Night of the Soul

Not all mystics go through this stage. After many years or lifetimes of purification and practice of meditation, the mystic arrives at this stage of purgation. It is the penultimate stage just before union with the absolute. It is the last struggle before one arrives at Unity or Ultimate State of Consciousness. In the Buddhist Theverada tradition, the last 3 fetters to be relinquished are (1) Ego-conceit, (2) Restlessness of the mind and (3) Ignorance. When these 3 are dropped, he becomes a saint. The eastern traditions do not stress much on the Dark Night. This experience is mainly described by Western mystics. The purgation is composed of utter despair and deprivation. The worst form of mental disease is a breeze compared to this sadness, deprivation and depression of the Dark Night. The mystic path hitherto has been strewn with illuminating experiences, especially if the mystic believes that God has been seen supporting him all along. He has been on this path of illumination up to now. And now he is crossing over to another path, which is Unity with the Absolute. This is now the final test of total detachment. He has to erase completely the residual ego-conceit and ignorance, and his motto should be I am nothing, I have nothing, I desire nothing. This is very similar to the last Buddhist fetters of Ego-conceit, Ignorance and Restlessness. The Christian mystic feels as if God who has been nourishing him all this while has suddenly abandoned him. The pain and emptiness is excruciating. The other name for the Dark Night is the Mystic Death. This period of purgation may last a few months or a few years. At the beginning, the pendulum swings from ecstasy to deprivation. As the practice continues, the periods of sadness and depression lengthen until near the end, when there is only the Dark Night and no delight at all. Of course, during these periods of hell, nobody could be blamed if he were to give up the mystic path altogether. However, if he were to persevere, as most do, the rewards are most exhilarating and exquisite as it is a prize of the spiritual realm and nothing mundane is comparable to it. He is now enlightened and he is united with the Absolute. Although physically he is in this world, he is now not of the world. Everything he touches turns to gold. He has been trying to achieve this state for many lifetimes. And finally he is in this non-dualistic state of Nirvana! The whole world should celebrate for this one individual who has joined the Godhead. He now knows that he has always been there and has never been separate from it!

Awakening using the two winged practice of self-observation(awareness) and relaxation(non action;naishkarmya;wu-wei)

The Divine Spark in each of us is the source of love,life and light that give birth to direct knowledge..In order to awaken and discover our true identity we can practice self-observation as taught by Gotama Buddha in Vipassana Meditation. This practice of self-observation is useless if the cluster of our feelings can not be made to assemble in a new center of non-identification(using relaxation,vairagya- dispassion,detachment,impartiality; “vairagya,” meaning “uncolored.” We are seeing clearly only when we practice watchfulness in a relaxed state ,free, uncolored or non-biased in our by the former center (egol identifications with our intruments:body,mind,language,name) ;

see also:non action;naishkarmya;wu-wei;

The ancient Greek philosopher Plato,in his treatise entitled Phaedra, describes the soul as a charioteer in control of two winged horses – one of noble descent, handsome and gracious;the other bred of common stock, crooked and unruly. The noble horse is our reason(for us: awareness),the ignorant horse is our appetites(for us:the identification with multiple impulses of the mind-body complex),from which negative emotions are generated(please read vrittis in Yoga Sutra of Patanjali on:http://www.psi-science.com/YOGA%20SUTRA-REGULILE%20DE%20ALINIERE/SAMADHI%20PADA).The task of each of us is to steer our chariot on a straight course through life by taming our negative desires and cultivating the positive ones.

What is Vipassana?

Vipassana means “seeing clearly”. Vi means clearly, passana means “seeing”. To see clearly in regards to what? To see clearly that, inside ourselves and the whole world, things are uncertain, changing all the time (anicca). To see clearly that, inside ourselves and in the whole world, things are stressful, unsatisfying (dukkha). To see clearly that, inside ourselves and in the whole world, things are not under our control (anatta).

To see these three characteristics we must practice in line with The Four Foundations of Mindfulness (Cattaro Satipatthana). Sati means to “remember” or “remind” oneself of the present moment. It is often translated as “Mindfulness”. Patthana means “foundation” or “base”. Satipatthana is thus translated as “Foundations of Mindfulness”.

What are the Four Foundations of Mindfulness?

The Four Foundations of Mindfulness are:

Body: bowing mindfully; walking mindfully; sitting mindfully.

Feelings: Noting aches, pain or soreness, happy feelings or neutral feelings.

Mind: Noting thoughts about past or future, good thoughts or bad thoughts.

Dhammas: Noting the five hindrances – liking, disliking, drowsiness, distraction, doubt.

Noting mindfully these four groups of phenomena in the present moment, Vipassana insight will arise in due order, and the five aims of the Lord Buddha will be met.

“Today scientist agree with the fact that everything could be reduced to being a field of energy. Our senses perceive the way they do because a specific feature(conditioning;programming) of our awareness forces them to do so. Seers say that we think there is a world of objects out there only because of our awareness. But what’s really out there are the Indescribable Force ‘s emanations, fluid, forever in motion, and yet unchanged, eternal. The reason for the existence of all sentient beings is to enhance awareness. The old seers, risking untold dangers, actually saw the Indescribable Force which is the source of all sentient beings. They called that indescribable force the Eagle, because in the few glimpses that they could sustain, they saw it as something that resembled a black-and-white eagle of infinite size. They saw that it is the Indescribable Force that bestows awareness and creates sentient beings so that they will live and enrich the awareness it gives them with life. They also saw that it is the Indescribable Force , that devours that same enriched awareness after making sentient beings relinquish it at the moment of death. For the old seers to say that the reason for existence is to enhance awareness is not a matter of faith or deduction. They saw it. Seeing is to lay bare the core of everything, to witness the unknown and to glimpse into the unknowable. As such, it doesn’t bring one solace. Seers ordinarily go to pieces on finding out that existence is incomprehensibly complex and that our normal awareness maligns it with its limitations. Your concentration has to be total. To understand is of crucial importance. The new seers placed the highest value on deep, unemotional realizations. For instance, the other day, when you understood about your self-importance, you didn’t understand anything really. You had an emotional outburst, that was all. I say this because the next day you were back on your high horse of self-importance as if you never had realized anything.
The same thing happened to the old seers. They were given to emotional reactions. But when the time came for them to understand what they had seen , they couldn’t do it.
To understand one needs sobriety, not emotionality. Beware of those who weep with realization, for they have realized nothing. There are untold dangers in the path of knowledge for those without sober understanding. I am outlining the order in which the new seers arranged the truths about awareness, so it will serve you as a map, a map that you have to corroborate with your seeing , but not with your eyes.
Everybody falls pray to the mistake that seeing is done with the eyes. Seeing is not a matter of the eyes.

Seeing is alignment and perception is alignment. .. . When such an alignment occurs one sees . Seeing , therefore, being produced by alignment out of the ordinary, cannot be something one could merely look at.
So, don’t succumb to the way seeing is labeled and described.
When seers see , something explains everything as the new alignment takes place. It’s a voice that tells them in their ear what’s what. If that voice is not present, what the seer is engaged in isn’t seeing .
It is equally fallacious to say that seeing is hearing, because it is infinitely more than that, but seers have opted for using sound as a gauge of a new alignment. The voice of seeing is a most mysterious inexplicable thing. My personal conclusion is that the voice of seeing belongs only to man. It may happen because talking is something that no one else besides man does. The old seers believed it was the voice of an overpowering entity intimately related to mankind, a protector of man. The new seers found out that that entity, which they called the mold of man, doesn’t have a voice. The voice of seeing for the new seers is something quite incomprehensible; they say it’s the glow of awareness playing on the Indescribable Force ‘s emanations as a harpist plays on a harp. The first attention consumes all the glow of awareness that human beings have, and not an iota of energy is left free. So, the new seers proposed that warriors, since they have to enter into the unknown, have to save their energy to be completely relaxed, desactivated, stopped But where are they going to get energy, if all of it is taken? They’ll get it from eradicating unnecessary habits. Eradicating unnecessary habits detaches awareness from self-reflection and allows it the freedom to focus on something else. The unknown is forever present, but it is outside the possibility of our normal awareness. The unknown is the superfluous part of the average man. And it is superfluous because the average man doesn’t have enough free energy to grasp it. One of the most worthwhile findings of the ancient seers was the discovery that organic life is not the only form of life present on this earth.
For seers, to be alive means to be aware For the average man, to be aware means to be an organism. This is where seers are different. For them, to be aware means that the emanations that cause awareness are encased inside a receptacle.
Organic living beings have a cocoon that encloses the emanations. But there are other creatures whose receptacles don’t look like a cocoon to a seer. Yet they have the emanations of awareness in them and characteristics of life other than reproduction and metabolism; such as emotional dependency, sadness, joy, wrath, and so forth and so on. And the best yet, love; a kind of love man can’t even conceive If we take as our clue what seers see , life is indeed extraordinary. Those beings make themselves known to man all the time. And not only to seers but also to the average man. The problem is that all the energy available is consumed by the first attention. Man’s inventory not only takes it all, but it also toughens the cocoon to the point of making it inflexible. Under those circumstances there is no possible interaction.

Pull yourself together and don’t fight your fear, roll with it. Be afraid without being terrified. Put all your concentration on the midpoint of your body–a true center of energy in all of us. Fear does not exist as soon as the glow of awareness moves beyond a certain threshold inside man’s cocoon

I’ll briefly outline the truths about awareness which I have discussed. 1) There is no objective world, but only a universe of energy fields which seers call the Indescribable Force ‘s emanations. 2) Human beings are made of the Indescribable Force ‘s emanations and are in essence bubbles of luminescent energy; each of us is wrapped in a cocoon that encloses a small portion of these emanations. 3) Awareness is achieved by the constant pressure that the emanations outside ur cocoon, which are called emanations at large, exert on those inside our cocoon. 4) Awareness gives ri
se to perception, which happens when the emanations inside our cocoons align themselves with the corresponding emanations at large. The next truth is that perception takes place because there is in each of us an agent called the assemblage point that selects internal and external emanations for alignment. The particular alignment that we perceive as the world is the product of the specific spot where our assemblage point is located on our cocoon. In order to corroborate the truths about awareness, you need energy. Dealing with petty tyrants helps seers accomplish a sophisticated maneuver: that maneuver is to move their assemblage points. In order for our first attention to bring into focus the world that we perceive, it has to emphasize certain emanations selected from the narrow band of emanations where man’s awareness is located. The discarded emanations are still within our reach but remain dormant, unknown to us for the duration of our lives..

The new seers call the emphasized emanations the right side, normal awareness, the tonal , this world, the known, the first attention. The average man calls it reality, rationality, common sense.
The emphasized emanations compose a large portion of man’s band of awareness, but a very small piece of the total spectrum of emanations present inside the cocoon of man. The disregarded emanations within man’s band are thought of as a sort of preamble to the unknown, the unknown proper consisting of the bulk of emanations which are not part of the human band and which are never emphasized. Seers call them the left-side awareness, the nagual , the other world, the unknown, the second attention.
Normally the glow of awareness is seen on the surface of the cocoon of all sentient beings. After man develops attention, however, the glow of awareness acquires depth. In other words, it is transmitted from the surface of the cocoon to quite a number of emanations inside the cocoon.
A state of heightened awareness is seen not only as a glow that goes deeper inside the egglike shape of human beings, but also as a more intense glow on the surface of the cocoon. Yet it is nothing in comparison to the glow produced by a state of total awareness, which is seen as a burst of incandescence in the entire luminous egg. It is an explosion of light of such a magnitude that the boundaries of the shell are diffused and the inside emanations extend themselves beyond anything imaginable Seers who deliberately attain total awareness are a sight to behold. That is the moment when they burn from within. The fire from within consumes them. And in full awareness they fuse themselves to the emanations at large, and glide into eternity”.

We are part of a super advanced Type IV extraterrestrial civilization- projection of Zero Point Energy Module encapsulated as life on 3-D vector space with increasing span
India Daily Technology Team
Nov. 17, 2006

It is the miracle of life and death. Scientists now understand we are part of a Type IV extraterrestrial civilization of very advanced technological state. Our real existence is in the Hyperspace. Our life is a projection on the 3-D Universe and the cycle of life and death continues till the ‘Error Vector’ goes to zero. After attaining perfection or ‘Error Vector zero’, we move on to higher dimension and continue the process till we cross into the chilled universe.

Let us explain what this really means in simple terms. In vector space mathematics, there is something called span. There is something called Gram-Scmidt algorithm that allows projecting vectors or entities with multi-faceted attributes (like life) into different spans. All mathematical equations, even the quantum mathematics can be modeled with this method. All advanced mathematical functions, everything that happens in this universe can be expressed in that form.

Life is a vector projection, It starts with smaller span. The Error vector is large. That means the ‘life’ has a lot to learn. As it is recycled in the same vector space or 3-D Universe, the span is increased. As spans increase the projected life from Hyperspace (or vector in math terms) has less error from the projected goal. In every recycling of life, the vector attains less and less error. In other words ‘life’ becomes more knowledgeable and closer to perfection through reincarnation. Finally after recycling several times, the ‘Error Vector’ becomes zero. It attains the so-called ‘Nirvana’ in the physical 3-D Universe. The process then starts in other universes with higher dimensions. There are several stages of this part of the recycling. Superstring theory points out to ten dimensions.. According to some contemporary scientists, if our universe is the base, our life after reaching ‘perfection’ in this physical 3-D universe has to cross seven more universes, every higher universe has one more spatial dimension. It makes sense to call our universe the base since we are Type zero civilization and far away from even attaining Type 1 status.

After crossing all the seven stages or ‘heavens or universes’ the zero point energy form or life is ready to be part of the chilled universe that becomes the foundation of the Hyperspace and all creation.

The vector mathematics especially Gram-Scmidt algorithm shows how a vector can be projected over a dimension specific range of orthogonal spans. When you increase the spans (E1, E2, ….En) the projected vector has less error from the actual vector or the goal of perfection and purity.

Interestingly, scientists find every aspect of the universe and perhaps everything in the Hyperspace and all supported by the base platform of the chilled universe work in this fashion. Recycling of entities with higher span is what makes the error factor less. Take some examples. The galaxies recycle to become better. The stars go through supernova and rebirth of another star eventually with higher elements in the periodic table. Even the earth has gone through periodic devastation and recreation to eventually hold intelligent life forms. Vector projections and reduction of error with increasing spans provide the insight to the cycle of life and rebirth.

Physical universe was created just for a place to experience physical life with all its ups and downs
India daily Technology Team

Most likely we belong to that Type IV advanced civilization who created the universe with a big bang in a massive particle accelerator of Type IV standard using just unimaginable levels of energies.

That falls into place with the perception that the universe was created with the sole purpose of Zero Point Energy Fields to re-circulate in the form of electromagnetic souls.

Who are we then? Simply put, we are part of a very advanced civilization that has the capability of creating the Universe from a big bang. We really live in the Hyperspace and our life in the physical universe is just an illusion – like getting into a movie theater and forgetting about our real existence for a short while. The universe is just like a movie theatre well designed with many movies going on simultaneously.

If that is the case, we will eventually find that in many places in the cosmos, the life has evolved differently but life has a sole purpose of allowing our real existence in Hyperspace to experience some kind of an illusion of physical existence. That also means we live in a physical universe and another parallel universe of anti-matter with negative energy simultaneously. Some scientists believe, our subconscious mind really exists in the parallel universe of virtual particles.

Mental stealth communication through gravity waves between projected life in physical universe and parallel universes
India Daily Technology Team
Nov. 3, 2006

Life is a manifestation of projection in the physical and other parallel universes. The projections eventually disappear when the living beings die but the ZPEMs continue in the Hyperspace as well as in other parallel universes through other projections.

The mental stealth communication happens between the projected life in the physical universe and the other projections in the parallel universes. It also happens between the ZPEM in the Hyperspace and the physical life in the physical universe. The ZPEMs in the hyperspace get their instructions from a chain of command and all master instructions come from the chilled universe below that hold the Hyperspaces together.

Scientists now are finding that the stealth continuous communication through gravity waves between living beings and the higher dimensions are facts. The ZPEMs have the capabilities to communi
cate without letting conscious living beings know anything about that communication. Some contemporary physicists believe that the communication happens between the real existence of the ZPEM in the Hyperspace and the physical projection of the ZPEM in the physical universe of ours. That means all of us actually are living in the Hyperspace and our body and physical existence in the physical universe are temporary projections. The projections eventually disappear when the living beings die but the ZPEMs continue in the Hyperspace as well as in other parallel universes through other projections.

You are not asked to buy smth.but to understand that the power to give you pleasure or pain,to heal or destroy yourself is in your mind; This method is designed to help people to discover their true identity and to use their own powers ;In this method of awakening it is not a question of belief or faith.Using self or hetero hypnosis everybody can obtain the ceasing of pains(anesthesia),the loss of weight, an improving in mind and somatic performances(memory, sport) or a remembering of some previous lifes or identities. The results of hypnosis has no power to awake or to heal you because they are delivered retroactive(you see or hear an video or audio recording of what you have said during the hypnotic trance). In Guided Awakening you are aware and present in the moment you see the source of uncreated light ,in the very moment you see and hear the answer to your questions about your true identity

The real problem isn’t faith but the understanding of the practice of awareness. You can’t obtain awakening for money because is not a thing but the result of your own inner journey .You can get remenbering or awakening like a Christmas present because nobody can travel in your place .

Please try to think with your own mind because the result of what others have thought can be seen in the graveyards

The problem isn’t faith but the understanding of using awareness and consciousness in your inner travel if you want to see with your own eyes the source of love,the source of the manifested universe;then you you cau see what are you doing and you can use of your own mind to heal yourself;

4.Sa va antrenati in practica constientei impartiale

Spre deosebire de regresia hipnotica in c
are persoana aflata in transa nu-si aduce aminte nimic(dar poate ulterior vedea sau asculta inregistrarea sedintei) in reintoarcerea constienta, care se petrece cu ocazia relaxarii pilotate, persoana care realizeaza calatoria interioara vede si aude in timp real evenimentele .O astfel de persoana procedeaza in maniera unui sfant sau a mistic care vede si gusta nemijlocit realitatea sursa;doar un astfel de om care isi aminteste cine este si cunoaste vietile sale anterioare traieste o experienta eliberatoare si transformatoare care-l vindeca de orbire(ignoranta) si uitare(amnezia).Textele antice considera aceasta o putere supranaturala sau o perfectiune (siddhis; vibhuti) la care ajung doar cei ce au obtinut desavarsirea in transa mistica(samadhi).Pentru a cunoaste trecutul si viitorul hipnotizorii actioneaza in maniera shamanilor, astfel ca persoana pilotata ,care calatoreste si persoana constienta nu se mai reunesc intr-o singura fiinta ,ca in cazul misticilor si sfintilor, ci in doua persoane diferite:cel ce este constient si piloteaza (shamanul, hipnotizorul) si cel ce calatoreste efectiv (persoana aflata in transa

DIFERENTE INTRE TRANSA MISTICA SI TRANSA SHAMANICA FOLOSITA IN HETERO-HIPNOZA

Diferenta intre calea spre Centru si cea spre periferie
The essential differences between the mystic trance and shamanic trance are:
1.the first is a way to the Center..the second is a way to Periphery
2.one uses direct experience connected to the reality that exists “here and now”to the omnipresent Light outside our “cavern”(see:Socrates’s maieutics); the second is a mediated experience connected to recordings(our own memory or our external devices of recording sounds and images can’t replace the direct experience of Divine Light );
3.the first uses our own consciousness or the self-awareness;the second a delegated consciousness or awareness(the shaman;hypno-therapist)

In clipul urmator ilustrarea catalepsiei pe:

In filmul de mai jos puteti vedea ca la numele Nikki, actrita Nikki Ziering executa automat la trezire o comanda ( la auzirea numelui sau se roteste in jurul scaunului strigand”The British are coming! The British are coming!”),iar in clipul urmator nu-si aminteste cum o cheama atat timp cat hipnotizorul isi tine degetul pe nas(desi i se rosteste numele si i se ofera o mare suma de bani)

alt clip ilustreaza modificarea perceptiei(gustul bauturii se modifica in functie de sugestia primita)

Ricard Bru hypnotizes the spanish TV Host on her show “Cala-Mar” and regressed her back to her childhood.
